What They Say

Voices from the Journey

Travelled in Namibia with Charles as lead in 2024. Charles went above and beyond to solve a problem for my travel mate. He showed us an astonishing world of light, colour, and life. His flexibility, humour and knowledge contributed so much to our enjoyment. I'm thrilled he's started on a new adventure. Shout out to D-road warriors 😊

In 2023 I made my dream trip to Namibia, which I will never forget! I would go with my own guide/driver for 10 days. I have done a similar trip in Ethiopia and know that you have to think that safety is the most important thing. I would be picked up at my hotel in Windhoek by the person. It took 30 seconds after our first meeting when I knew that this could not get better. Charles! He instilled such warmth, security and a big smile. Our trip was absolutely incredible, so much laughter and what an adventure. It was like traveling with a good friend. Charles' knowledge and experience were absolutely fantastic, but above all, I gained a friend for life. I recommend traveling with Charles with all my heart.

Charles toured with us in 2019. He was a funny, spontaneous guide. We felt after a few hours that Charles is someone 'what you see is what you get'. He is honest, funny and felt like a part of the group. Charles' knowledge about the fauna and flora, culture, and food of Namibia was very extensive. Nothing was too much for him. After dinner he gave us an explanation about the milky way, on our free day he went sandboarding with us, he found a great fish restaurant at Swakopmund — thanks to him we could also visit the Himba's. He made our road trip so much richer and more adventurous than the standard trip would have been. It's been 4 years since we left Namibia — and also a friend, Charles. If we ever have the chance to travel again together, it would be a pleasure. Lots of love, Lien & Nickias

A few years ago, we had an amazing holiday with our friends — a group of 11 — specially organised by a Dutch travel agent. We had the luck to have you as our personal guide and driver. We laughed so hard with your jokes and you always drew our attention if you spotted something with those hawk eyes. You paid attention to our every need; we could ask you anything. My son Kyle, then 10 years old, is still talking about you. He had an unforgettable journey. If we ever come back to Namibia, you will be the first we'll call for our trip!
